Does anyone know how daylight runing lights are wired? I know that Canadian cars have them, but my 99 doesn't. Is it a matter of simple changing a relay?

Thanks:)

in my old ontegra there was a module in the passenger side footweel

and i unplugged it because drl sucks and kills your bulbs.

yeah true, but most us insurance companies give you discount on your premium for having drl.... and funny enough give you absolutely nothing for a life saving traction control :werd: :( :hmmm:

if my car had them i would take out the fuse or cut the wire, they are most annoying things ever invented

I can get an additional 10% off for DRL's, but not, as you said, Life saving traction and ESP and brake boost? I've stopped trying to figure out insurnace companies a long time ago. If anyone does know how they are wired I would like to find out. I called my dealer yesterday after I posted. I could tell they didn't know, they went into this has to be changed and that has to changed, etc.:)

I need to get relay # 016 545 74 32 that controlls the day time running lamps, and I will have DRL's or is that relay only with the HID lights?

Thanks
:)

bingo. more than likely it is a plug and play type deal that should require and additional work.

I'll call the dealer tomorrow and check the $ and also see where it is mounted. I'd assume it mounts in the black box in back of the fuses.

Thanks :)
