View Full Version : installing body kits..
Does the car need to be on a lift or can I just do it with the car sitting? Let's say all 4 pieces from a 99 C43 to a 2000 C230K. Thanks

It is easier to accomplish if the car is on a lift, but it does not have to be. All of the bolts that hold the bumper covers on are accessable from the ground.

I installed all my pieces with the car on the ground, although not a W202 ;) . No one will be as anal as you about the fit and finish and if you can get the dealer service sheets from a friend at the stealership like I did, it's not to difficult.

its easier to install the kit with the car on the ground. the only reason i see to lift the car up is to remove the panels on the uderside of the car.
sounds great.. I will give it a shot once I get my parts. thanks guys
