So I got my CF pieces from MikeC200 and I still have not been able to figure out how to take out the bow piece.

From the front, if I remember, Steve told me to pull the right side, and then slide to the right.

Which means I have to pull (maybe using a string) like this picture
http://gilbreth.ecn.purdue.edu/~nkumala/pnsji/W202%20bow/front.JPG
and then slide to the right.

But when I look at the back of it, this is how it looks like:
http://gilbreth.ecn.purdue.edu/~nkumala/pnsji/W202%20bow/rear.JPG
There is a screw with a base. The base might be slideable.

If I slide the front to the right, does the screw come off with the bow?
Or the screw stays on the dashboard and only the bow piece get slided out?

pnsji: man i am so sorry for getting your thread all off topic :(

where you able to slide the bow to the right?

btw from what i remember the hole on your dash where the bow attach looks like a key hole ==O.

So you see when you slide the bow to the right you make the screw/bolt thing enter the larger part of the hole allowing you to free it from the dash.

lol

Apparently, our friend Mike give me the manual in german :p

after asking my german friend here at work:
http://gilbreth.ecn.purdue.edu/~nkumala/pnsji/carbon%20fibre%20installation/bow.jpg

14 = bolts
15 = clips
16 = "cone" (like door stop)
a = the distance for the nut
1 = bow piece

Using a "cone" (16), pry the right side and then slide to the right.
after the bow(1) is out, transfer the nuts from the original bow to the new bow. You have to keep the distance(a) to the new bow.

Thank you Mike!!!!!!!!!

Mike...you of all people should know better...if I say pull - then pull it is...there is NO nut there - just a steel clamp in the dash that holds on to the threaded stud in the bow...all other studs do have nuts and need to be shoved out of the keyhole shaped clamp...

PULL

So behind the bow piece there are clips:
http://gilbreth.ecn.purdue.edu/~nkumala/pnsji/carbon%20fibre%20installation/behind%20clip.jpg

except the very right one:
http://gilbreth.ecn.purdue.edu/~nkumala/pnsji/carbon%20fibre%20installation/rightclip.jpg

This is why you have to pull the right side and then slide.
