i really like the brabus monoblock VI but can't afford the real ones so i'm getting the replica... should i get the 17's or 18's ... which one will better fit the car in overall performance... i drive a 96 c280

Performance? you want to get ligther wheels.
so 17" will be the way to go.

I have the Brabus V replica's in 18s...I like the look a lot more than the 17s...the 17s looked a little small when the car was lowered...but that's just me. :) The VI's are really nice as well...looking to get a set to throw on the C320...

goto ebay and do a search.

There are tons of sets for sale on ebay, and the price probably cheaper than most wheel shop.

You may be more happy with 18's in the long run. The 17 is a little small on the C, and since you are upgrading wheels for the look anyway, 18 will make a huge difference. THe C-class can handle 18's easily in terms of ride quality and size. Of course, performance wise, you may want to get sport springs and shocks to minimize wheel gap and excessive body roll and vertical travel. The 18's will weigh more, but not much more. Let us know what you decide.

P.S. It's a tradeoff. 17 is lighter, 18 looks better. :)
