hey, i was searching through the autozone website it noticed this
there is a recall for the 202 software on the A/C system. i donno if yall can open this link but here it is

it's cuz the A/C keeps cutting off on the center vents in hot weather and stuff.

is this recall valid? i'm gonna check up with the dealer tommorow if i get a chance.

SUBJECT:
MODEL 202, MODEL YEAR 1995 SOFTWARE UPDATE FOR A/C PUSHBUTTON CONTROL MODULE (N22)

Due to a software fault in the A/C pushbutton control module in model year 1995 model 202 vehicles, the blower speed may not increase automatically and the center air vents may not open sufficiently, after starting the vehicle in hot weather.

Note :Manual override functions including blower speed. defrost, etc. function in their normal manner.

The A/C pushbutton control module must be checked and if necessary reprogrammed during the vehicles' next scheduled maintenance or repair. or in the case of customer complaints. Refer to procedure in this bulletin.

Note :Prior to performing the repairs, check if a sticker has been attached near the emission label with the marking ACC 3.1, indicating that the vehicle has already been repaired in the VPC's or in the field. Upon arrival of vehicles for repair, check Vehicle Master Inquiry (VMI).

Procedure:

1. Identify the software version of A/C pushbutton control module. with the ignition ON press the [REST] button for approx. 20 seconds to enter the diagnostic mode, actual values should now be displayed in the temperature display window. Press the (air-up) button repeatly until step 9 appears in the window, software version should now be displayed. If code 3 appears in the window the control module must be reprogrammed (continue to step 2). If code 3 does not appear continue to step 5.

2. Install HHT module (part no. 6511 2210 13) included with this campaign into HHT.

3. Connect the Hand-Held Tester (HHT) to the vehicle.

CAUTION! Follow all necessary precautions when installing HHT and HHT modules.

4. The repair instructions are included as part of the HHT module software and can be accessed after installing the module (included with this campaign) into the HHT. Reprogram the A/C control module with the HHT using the HHT module.

Note :The repair instructions (which appear on the HHT screen) continue onto another screen. Select the scroll button (>) in order to pull up the next screen.

5. After completing the campaign, place a permanent adhesive label (local purchase) on the inside of the hood (arrow, Figure 1), next to the emissions sticker and write ACC 3.1 on the label with a permanent marker.

Note :HHT modules used in this campaign must be returned to MBNA at a later date. Dealers will receive a notification when to return the modules.
