Please, after a first attempt times ago on bnzsport. I try again here, hoping it's more easy to find information on W202.

Is it possible to set central locking in order to hear "plump" ("beep", "plip",...whatever you call) when close the central locking by the remote key?
Mine is without factory alarm, it's only the standard imobilizer and remote key.

Hoping my question is clear.

Thanks a lot

I believe you need to go to your dealer for this. Have them set your country code to NL and then the beep/sound when you arm/disarm your car will be heard.

will they do this willingly at the dealership?... or do you have to "know" somebody there to get them to do it for you?

I went, but that nice man said me that they can't. This set up is possible only by factory. Seems that a password is needed!

:( :bored:

But I'm pretty convinced that they want do this for me.

This make me very very bored:bored:

Yeah it helps to know someone at the dealership. Like if you want them to set your fuel to only use high octane fule you would have to have a friend there to hook you up.

I believe others have great ways in making friends at a dealership... something about giving them wine/beer etc.... sorta like payola.
