Seat Belt Problems

hello i recently slamed my seat belt in the car door causeing the little black knob to break off, it keeps the seat belt clasp from falling all the way to the floor, can i just get this part or do i need a hole new seat belt like the dealer says

Does the part that broke off have a MB part number? If so, you might be able to replace it. Otherwise, a whole seat belt assembly is needed.
