I can do it with my eyes shut on my Mustang, but have never tried it on the C230K (1999). Is there any special tools, sockets etc. Also, where is the best place to get pads and rotors? I want the lowest dust pad possible.

Easy. I assume you have a few metric wrenches, i.e. 15 mm, etc.
For pads, I always run Mintex Red Box.
Great stopping power, virtually no dust, good wear.
You may want to go to: www.mercedesshop.com/ click on "Fastlane" ( at the top of the page ), go to "online catalogue", simple. ;)

One last thing. Is a 1999 C230k set up for 1 pin or 2? Please let me know.

One or two pin only applies to the rear brakes.
My 2000 C 230 K is 1 pin.
When in doubt, call Phil at FastLane, give him you VIN & he'll look it up..
You could look at the rear caliper yourself & see if you have to pull 1 or 2 pins, to lift the pads out. ;)

It's definitely do-able on your own. Be prepared to have some tough bolts on particularly the front calipers. Other than that, no special tools or anything needed.

I dont see any other bolts. I have the wheel and caliper off, but the rotor wont budge. Is there a hidden bolt, or a trick for removing the rear rotors?

There is actually a bolt that holds the rear rotor to the hub. You may have missed it. Here is a picture of it. You will need an allen wrench to take it off.

EDIT: I just saw your other post. Best I can tell you is to hit it hard with a hammer. Chances are, it created a nice little rust bond between the rotor and the hub.

Is that all you have to take off? Then hit it a hammer a couple of times? ;)

Gotta take off the caliper first obviously ;)
That pic was just to illustrate the little allen bolt

Of course you have to take off the caliper and that's it right?
