All,
I have some annoying pinstriping on my 1996 C220, which I need to remove. Some of it has already started coming off, but I am not sure what the best method is or chemicals I need to remove it safely without harming the paint. Plus, I am motivated now to take it off since I am upgrading the suspension, tires and wheels.
Any assistance is greatly appreciated

Pin stripes are best removed with a heat gun or blowdryer. Just heat it up and peel away!

Thanks Denlasoul...:)
I thought I had to use Acetone or something like that..

after you peel it off
use Goo Gone where it used to be to get rid of any old marks or adhesive left on the paint, works great

Another thing you can use to remove that stuff, and I suggest this cause I don't know if I would trust goo gone on clear coat, is Meguiars Clear Coat Body scrub. I used it to get tar of my car two weeks ago. I had the stuff literally caked on my car (it looked like a three year old splatter painted it on my car) and it took it off like it was nothing and then I waxed over it. This would be my advice.

Thanks Davis449 for that suggestion. Maguiars always puts out great products. I will definitely take that into consideration.
Btw, How much is a bottle of that stuff?
