Hello I was wondering if air bag suspensions are avaliable for the W202 since i live in canada and would like the options of rasing the car in the winter so i dont snow plow it in the snow, and at school they have friging anyoing speed humps, i dont want to go with lowering springs because of this reason. are adjustable coil overs avaliable for the W202

No adjustable coilovers available for a w 202.
You could go with some verrry tall snow tires, i.e. 70 series. ;)

Airbags... hmm if u got the money than anything can happen. But its gunna be a total custom job. There is no kit so is gunna be from scratch. There is a guy in the benzworld.org gallery that has a bagged w202 maybe u can email him

when you say fully custom do you mean every part has to be made from scratch or I can go down to my performance store and order the parts and install them

You could probably do it yourself, but it's going to be a lot of work. What year is your car? I am not sure if you want to try the install yourself, you put one of those bags in wrong and it pops while driving......your in lots of trouble. I know a dude that that happen to, it totaled his truck. If a shop does the work for you, you should get some sort of warranty on the work.

my car is a 1997, my understanding of air bag systems is that the air bag get bolted to the upper and low arm how can it pop out ?

You can probably do the job yourself then. Your suspension isn't any different then mine was. With the airbags, your going to wanna make sure they are protected someway. That's what happened to the guy I know, something sharp flew up in there and popped it.

you won't want to drive on airbags in the winter, specially since it will drop below 0 temp. they are just rubber bags bassically and when your car is in the up position they are full of air and that will put alot of stress on the bags, and they will wear very quickly.

Airbags cost about $6000 approximately for parts and labor. They have to fabricate all the mounting. Hence, your shock tower will be weld/cut.

The problem with airbags is the adjustment. Different temperature will give different preasure, hence different height. This is why you have to adjust the valving when the season changes to make sure it stays at the height you wanted.

6000 geez, you MB guys must pay retail for everything. a local shop quoted me 2,400 parts and labor. with 1/2 lines and valves. along with 5 gal tank.
