Niccccccce.

After my friend helped me get the headlight out, installation was pretty much a breeze. The Headlight wiper motors attached to the bottom of the unit, and the ballasts, I didn't mount to the stock locations, I just put them where the old aftermarket ballasts once were.

The only problem i ran into was that my car didn't have the harness for the wipers...so basically they are "for deckorashun" They don't work, and it's gonna cost me quite a bit more to aquire parts to make it work. So no thanks.

also The plug on my halogen unit had only 4 plugs while the one on the Xenon unit has 5. from what I've learned from reading past xenon threads was that the extra one was for the city light. I don't know what that is, but I saw a tiny extra bulb next to the xenon, so that's probably it. Basically, we just opened the harness and plugged each of the wires in individually, and the 5 plug remains untouched. We modified the harness alittle bit so that it would fit. The xenons turned on perfectly. Niccccce!!! damn they look good. (if what i did was unsafe or incorrect...please inform me, i don't want these to malfunction in the future.)

heh, I swapped in my piaas for the highbeams bulbs, but it looks them chinky blue lights that you see on ricerockets. I'm going to take those things out and replace them with regular bulbs

my question is...what does the city light do and how does it looked when it's lit?

I don't think these are auto leveling either cuz I didn't see a motor built into the light, there's only a vacuum motor. Hmmm...or am i wrong? I thought all xenons are required to have autoleveling features

Nice..

so what do you think this Bosch Xenon unit vs your retroifit ones :D

Also read my post about Xenon the different between OEM Xenon and Bosch Xenon from Becker is the OEM is for used with self levelling and the Bekker ones has the vacum motor..

and If I have to choose, I'd pick the vacuum motor any day, so that I Could adjust the light as I wanted and when I wanted ;)

about the city light that's fine, you could leave it there unconnected.

on mine I disconnect my corner light (now it's only purpose is a blinker ).. and connect the wire to the city light pin.

In generall, you should be allright with this setup
Just make sure to bump up the fuse as the halogen use 7.5A fuse for each healight.
I bumped mine to 15A each...

J Irwan: Darn! I wanted the electric motor ones like all the new cars have now...Now i'll have to get the vacuum hoses, new headlight switch and stuff from steve and that's gonna be a pain to install. arggh.

J, MBenzNL or nokia, how much did you get the vacuum kit for?

rhyi, nah, cuz the fog lights are H1's and the highs are h7's. I might get one of thos reeeally yellow bulbs, Piaa ion plasmas?? something like that of the lexus' and see how they look.

So yeah, i'm sellin' the PIAA Extreme force bulbs that i have again, so yeah, if anyone wants em, gimme a holler. :)

What type of PIAA lights you got? Is that H4, H1 or what?
If it's H4 I'll be interested in it.
