Well, after changing my rear springs a few days ago, I just finished installing the front ones as well ( Eibach's ).
What a pain.
Using a " generic " type of spring compressor worked great for getting the stock springs out but, because of the thicker coils on the new springs, the same tool does not work, when installing the new springs.
So, took the new springs to a springshop, had them " banded ", ( they compress them and tie them with steel bands).
Installed in 20 minutes.
Then, I fine-tuned my rear spring pads.
As a note on rear spring removal, you DO NOT have to disconnect the shock mount or swaybar link to drop the rear controlarm.!
Happy camper now. ;)
