Did some dry fitting yesterday and today. I was only able to do
the front bumper and both sides. I ran into some problem with
the left (driver) as the side skirt was more tight fitting, I scratched it quite a bit but no worries, it's not painted yet.
For the front bumper, I think I'll take it to a body shop in order
to have hangers as well as sides bonded so it can be bolted on.
The stock bumper have 4 hangers (top & bottom) and 4 pegs
(2 on each side). I wonder how they'll do this.(?)

As I've said before, I got stumped when I got to the rear bumper.
Hopefully, this will not be as hard as I think. I'll do this next weekend.

Oh and by the way, feel free to jump in and provide tips on how I
can do this the easy way. I'm just learning as I go along.
I've owned this car since it was brand new and did not have
the courage to f*ck around with it. My only mod for this car has
been the Alpine CD changer and manual rear shade.
Everything else is OEM.

Elvir: my man, FYI keep browsing ebay coz, that's how I found this body kit. You'd be surprised on what's out there.

hvmercy, I noyiced you mentioned that you have a manual rear sunshade. Where did you get it? Is it OEM? Best of luck on the body kit. Let me know if you need to look at the AMG kit installed (just aquired a C36).

The manual sunshade is a factory MB part. You can order it through your dealership. I don't know the part# offhand, but I can find it in a few as mine is basically coming off. If you do get it try and find better bolts to hold it in place as the self-tapping screws come out easily. Also mount the included clips carefully. Definitelly clean the window surface thouroughly otherwise you might loose the clips....they come off often too. Cost is like $100.

Thanks hvmercy, as I live here in the States, can this be ordered from my local (US based) dealer? Thanks.

As kameraguy mentioned, the manual rear shade is a Mercedes Benz
product and it can be ordered thru your local dealer, I ordered mine at
Smythe European as a set, which includes the
2 rear windows (broken now coz my son keeps thinking it's cool
to pull it up and down). If I remember correctly I paid $150 for the
whole thing (rear and 2 rear windows)

Thanks for the offer re: pics, I'll take you up on this. I'll need
to see how the skirts look like at the bottom of the doors and the front bumper installation.

It said, "it includes the 2 rear windows".

Well, I called the dealer today and the pricing is $114 for the shade and $14 for the kit. Looks like the Euro is hitting where it hurts. The side shades are $69 each.

daymmmm, it's getting more ridiculous to buy these shades.
The reason I bought them was to protect my son (2 months old at
the time) from blaring sunlight. Believe me, it works very well for
that purpose. $69 for the sides? each! whew! You're better off
tinting your windows.

good luck,

I'm not in a hurry to put them on. Still shopping around for
place to have them fabricated and painted. I called Hayward
Autobody coz they worked on my car when I was rearended
by a motorcycle. They gave me a pretty good quote for painting
excluding fabrication (bonding hangers etc).
As you can see from my avatar, I'm also quite busy with
another toy.

be patient Elvir.

hey this is how i did my cosuins, i cut the top of the replica bumper and then bonded/screwed it to the stock bumper guides.
But in order for it to fit you nedd to cut part of the stock bumper.

I have more pics on that site, check it out and let me know if you got any questions.

714guy, good job on that kit,

I was looking at the pictures you put up on your site and I noticed when you were working on that OEM part, you had the plastic parts that screw to the mounting brackets on the sides off

look at this one, when you put the bumper back on the car, the screws that you have to tighten go into a plastic part that slides in that left side.

Do you know if that peace can be bought seperately? Mine is broken coz some idiot apparently backed into me while I was parked, do you have any idea?

Closing.
