SRS Light on for a couple minutes when car starts.

Hey guys, I just recently started having my SRS light turn on for about 1-2 minutes after my car starts up. It then shuts off and doesn't come back on until the car is shut off again.
I have a 1994 C280
Does any one have any idea as to what this problem may be? Thanks

most likely it's one of the belt buckle's up front that need replacing. There's a sensor/relay in there. I had my passanger side replaced a few years ago, then the drivers side triggered the SRS light a year later. Just had it diagnosed to see what was wrong and it was indeed the drivers side. The relay repair for parts and labor is about $375.

As the same as yours, it stays lit for approx 2 minutes after starting then goes away. I was told by my SA that this is a delay in the system...so for that 2 minutes, no airbag depending on which side it's from.

Haven't gotten it fixed since...didn't have the money back then and never bothered when I did :p

same here my c280 does the same.... doesn't particularily bother me though

check your battery. make sure it is charging completely and that the power isnt dropping.
