SQUEAK Around the Ashtray or the Bin Below Radio???

I have this really annoying squeaking type noise when I drive, sounds like something is lose or not in place properly. Anyone have this problem? Or is it normal? I am not sure exactly what is the culprit. It's really annoying. I have a 99 C280. Thanks.

i have the same annoying problem, i check the center console and everything is tight but still it has that squeaking noise. i was thinking it's the leather wrapping of the console rubbing. what you think? i was wondering if all w202 are like that.

Already dismounted to check if something is loose or bad fixed, but nothing to do till now!:(

are you guys sure its not from the AV vents..

it could be you motor need some lubricating.. ;)

it seems more a matter of plastic squeak.

It's also with vents off.

Have you lubricated your motor? Could you elaborate on how to get to it to lubricate it? I have the same annoying squeak.
