on a side note from my experience these manuals are pretty good.. i used to have an 84 190E and with the haynes manual, a socket set and a couple screwdrivers you could have the whole car stripped

Seattle Baby! I drove by that place once. It was a little mom and pop-type shop. Didint get a chance to go in seeing that it was closed.

Is that particular manual useful, J? Compared to the Haynes, Chiltons, etc.etc?

Dennis,

that was the same manual that I bought from that place :D

IT's pretty usefull to do almost anything on W202 chassis with the exception engine and brake related component, as C36's and C43's has different brakes and engine compare to the rest of W202 fleet.. ;)

I wish they make one that covers C36's and C43's a well.

(this manual doesn't cover 6-cyl car (i.e:C280's) if I remember correctly)

Did you see the C36/C43 Service Manuals from that site? Wonder if these are any good.

I wasn't looking at the C 36/43 manuals.
From past experience, I don't think the Haynes are as good as the Bentley's but hey, you take what you can get. ;)

Dennis,

I was looking around for C36's and C43's manual since I figure these 2 AMG model on the same platform W202...

But I didn't have any luck back then..

I haven't tried to find them again since I bought my manual...
And I haven't heard anyone has manual for C36 or C43 either, other than dealerships..

I got mine from www.classicgarage.com for 24.96 US plus delivery. Its a nice, detailed book, but no info on 6cyl models or Kompressor models. Its good for body, interior, suspension and brakes, electrical and general maintenance. After seeing how easy it is to replace shocks, I'm going to try my hand at it with the Bilstein HDs I picked up from www.shox.com last month.
