I just received a big box from UPS...OEM HIDs from Bekkers. I was going through the shett that came with the lights and it said that if i have the old version headlights I will need the updated trim pieces. Is this true? I have a 1996 C36 with the headlight wipers and the headlight housings that use the H4 bulb. Thanks in advance.

I think that any time you change from the old style HL (1996 and older) to the newer style (1997 and newer), you will need to change the trim piece. It's a very easy process, especially if you're already changing the HL housing.

So am I correct in assuming that I need to get the trims pieces painted? So much for an easy install.

or you could trim-out the old piece to fit into the newer headlight..
Some people did this instead of purchasing a new trim...
IT's a matter of choice whether you want to buy new piece or trim-out the old ones :)

yes it should...
All you need to do is bump the fuse for the headlight from 7.5A to 15A

yah that what makes me wonder i have to replace my driver side lens since the cold weather caused the plastic tab to crack and break off now it can move closest to the grill in the front its not a big deal but i was thinking what about replacing it with Xenons How cheap are they ? (positive thinking )

Cheap...I personally wouldn't call them cheap but let's just say I'm not going to volunteer how much I spent on these lights to my wife.:D
