I have a 2000 C43 with 18 Monoblocks and are planning on installing a set of the Eibach "Prokit" springs. EIbach rates the drop at 1.25" front and rear. Does anyone have pics of similar? (1.25 drop with 18" wheels) Just dont want to go to all of the trouble and expense only to be dissatisfied with the look.

Thanks,

SS

Below is a picture of my C43 with Brabus springs. They claim a 1.5 in. drop. If you haven't bought your springs yet, check out the Vogtland Springs (http://www.pure-motorsport.com/products/description.php/II=46?WEBID=025c863f81c511caedec9cd7b13f4fd3) , they have a similar drop and are currently 15% off the posted price with Free shipping. That's quality new springs for under $200 http://www.club202.com/forums/images/icons/icon14.gif

Don't forget, you also have the springpads to fiddle around with.
They will allow you to fine tune ( higher or lower ), to your liking. ;)

I have a 1996 C36 with 18" Monoblocks II and installed a set of Eibach springs....drope at 1.25" front and rear...I took some pics but still working on how to put it up. I'll try it again this weekend and let you check it out.

So far Iam very happy with the look and feel.

Which spring will give me a one finger gap? i have h&r springs/bilstein setup with 18s on my c43 with #4 pad in the rear and #2 in front. Its about even with the back tucking a little bit. I don't like it to tuck, it looks kinda ghetto. What kind of spring can i use that will give me a one finger gap with 18's?? Even with the thickest pad out back my car is tucking!!

I know I think the H&R's are a bit low for my tastes. The NYC streets unfortunately are too mean for those springs.

go to www.geocities.com and create a free personal website, load the picture onto your page and click properties, copy and paste the picture URL into your forum post.

Eibach's with #2 pads make the car sit low as hell.t was really surprised. On dips I can hear my BMS exhaust resonators scrape.H&R's suck on our streets. The NYC potholes will chew them up and spit them out.I had them on my Talon and they were horrible and sag like hell.Grant it the car sat a lil lower but the ride was harsh and Shitty! The eibachs allowed my AWD Talon to have a better ride. The coils on the eibachs are much thicker in diameter and offer a much better ride especially on the streets of NY. I like the ride of my C43 alot.I would never ever use H&R's because the ride quality is horrible. Ask Tump43 ,he lives in NY and got rid of his H&R's.He's now using eibach's himself.

i have had experience with eibach and h&R

My eibachs i should rename "EIBOUNCE" because you feel like ur in a ghetto hooptee bouncin down the street. (not stiff enough) It dosent lower the car enought either and there is more body roll.

H&R are wopnderful springs. Stiff and dont bounce. i think they are the best and will always use them

BTW: Kenzbenz lives in CA NOT NY!!!!

i think he uses FK springs also but i may be wrong!!

i think he uses FK springs also but i may be wrong!! Believe me! When I first put them on my car with the 17" monos, the back of the car was past the tire and just above the rim.#2 pads. The front of course sat higher but there was no finger gap whatsoever. If thats not low enuff for you I dont know what is.I also have pics but I dont know how to post them.I will learn especially for you so you can see.

P.S. I must have used the wrng user name for Ken. Sorry it's Tump43.I'll edit that.thanx!

By the way the H&R's made my AWD Talon feel like a ghetto hooptee especially since the suspension is more aggressive than the Benz!

In NYC H&R's SUX!
