hey all,
my right headlight has been cracked for a while now..."bullet" shaped hit and the crack has gone upwards. No hole through it yet...so just surface i think.

Do I have to replace the entire headlamp assembly or is there a replacement lens available? I heard that you can just buy the lens part and replace that....

Yep headlight lens can be replaced. If you need a number for MB parts, there is a sticky in the part number forum with the number for tom at caliber motors.

I was looking around and for 94-97 models it's like $265 for a fucking headlight assembly because in those years you have to replace the entire assembly.

Really? I was not aware of that as I have replaced 94-96 headlight lens before.

Tom isnt the only place to buy the lights from bekkers.com also sells replacement lens for about 100 bucks and change.

I've repalced my headlight lens before and it only cost $90 at Bekkers. I don't know who told you that it needs a whole headlights assy is needed.

Here's you part number 202 820 6466 - right. 202 820 6366 for the left side.
Why can't get any good info. at MBWorld?

thanks! I purchased a lense 75.00 brandnew from www.thepartsbin.com for my c43. It is a Bosch lens and it is original equipment.You dont need the whole assembly. There are some clips that hold the lens in. you also need to take the parking light out which is very easy. Any problems give me a buzz I changed mine three weeks ago myself. 347-489-9644 Carl..
