rim width/dropping q?

what is the most you can drop a c230 with 18x8.5 rims without any fender mods? will there be any rubbing problem with 17x8 with a pretty low drop? which would all you guys reccomend for a lower drop without any mods to the fender? i really like the look of 18s...but i would get 17s if its going to be too much work for the 18s to not rub

depends on your offset. i think most members have like a 2" drop all around with 18x8.o~9.0 wheels with no problems.

if you get your wheels from good sources like wheelexperts/tws/tirerack you should be fine.

I had Carlsson 18x8.5 +35 dropped on H&R's. I had my fenders rolled and had no rubbing. I had to have my fenders rolled again when I cut a coil. :D
