what is the safe way of doing it. i am thinking of installing auto dimming mirror and was wondering how to take off the old one

PULL downwards...make sure you pull the base of the mirror and not the actual mirror.

i tried pulling down but doesnt seem to help. i dont wanna brake anything. how hard should i pull?
