Have tried this today and taking off the ground lead, but battery is almost totalled, not much power left to even charge up. Car still starts, but needs new one soon. My car radio is now dead, can't find the code and was told have to take out radio to get serial numbers to find the cosde. Such a hassle. Car is 1997 5sp auto C180 Euro version. What can I do now? Any way to find out code without intervention by dealer? How to key it in?. The display was no. 1 before, now it is 3 straight dashes across the display. Please help, thanks.
