i've tried locksmiths before that make car keys and they said MB you have to go back to the dealer, no matter metal or IR. Metal key should only take a day or two to get from them.
but you need proof of ownership (registration), drivers license and your VIN number.

yeah, u can try the lock smith...may be able to do it for you, but doubt it. I went to several lock smiths and hardware stores that made car keys...no luck :(
but yeah, title/reg/VIN/license to the dealer parts counter will be set for you.

I hope it doesn't take a month and a half like it took me. They were backordered for over a month. Thankfully I could use my Valet key.

you can go to a locksmith only if you already have blanc keys for them to cut.... otherwise tis the time to go to dealer....

Got my keys today. work great :) they were in at 9am. quick ship
oh i kinda had my windows open after i broke the key so i stuck in the half into the passanger door to shut the windows. so half is stuck in the passanger door. i never use that door. :)
i never got a spare with my car, bought it used with one key only.
oh just one question, the switch to lock and unlock the doors thats on the dash, is that electronic or vacuum connected?

I believed the locks are vacuum controlled.

hey, yea the actuators on the doors are but just wondering if anyone knows if the dash switch ( switch by the hazzards and stuff (above air control)) is electronically connected or has vacuum lines to it.
cuz what i wanna do is custom fit in an electronic cheapo keyless entry into it if it's got just wires conected to the switch. i dont' feel like going through buying new electrnoic actuators just for a keyless entry system. :(

ohh, i get what your saying.
yes, you do need a central actuator. When I had my keyless alarm replaced, I needed a central actuator that connects to the door lock in the center console. you don't need all four actuators, as it's already in the doors. Atleast that was what i was told, so i only needed one central actuator.
I got a DEI keyless/alarm system. Was $200 for the system (included 2 remotes, impact guard, keyless entry, engine disable, passive/active arming, etc).
