255/40/17 on AMG 17x8.5" rims?

CAn anyone tell me if I can upgrade to a little larger 255/40/17 vs. OEM 245/40/17. I have H&R springs on with a coil cut, so I wonder if a 255 will fit without rubbing. Does anyone have this combo? Also, has anyone had their OEM AMG Monoblocks polished or dipped in chrome? Is this expensive?

Yeah, you can go to 255 on 17x8.5
BTW which AMG do you have?

I have a 1995 C36 AMG, silver on black, lowered, intake, tinted black and custom stereo install.
