I am considering lower about 1.2 inches front and rear using a eibach kit. My question is I have the ESP, traction control BAS, and all that great stuff. Will lower this car have any affect on these electonic gizmo's? I took a pix of my car and then scanned it into Photo Shop, my son was able to transform the picture as if the car was lowered about a inch all around and it look much better, also I see no problems with the 12" wheelsfor clearance.

thanks

It shouldnt affect the gizmo's. The only thing I have heard that can would be different tire diameters. Typically this can happen if you run wider tires in back without staggering the wheels.

I have the stock 15" both the same size front and back.

From what Ive seen and heard that lowering your car should'nt mess anything up.

err, i meant staggering the tires. here's an example:

stock is 225/45 all four tires. this means that the tire diameter is 225x.45= 101.25mm for each tire.

now if you use 225/45 front and 255/45 back, this means your tire diameters are: 225x.45=101.25 (front), and 255x.45=114.75 (rear). see the difference in diamter? this difference will cause the cruise control to be off.

to correct a this, you would have to use a smaller seriers tire in the rear. on my car, i have 225/40 and 255/35 on 18" wheels.

if you do the math, 225x.40=90mm (front) and 255x.35=89.25mm (rear). the difference is close enough that my cruise control is not affected.

hope this helps!

oh yeah, no way in hell i'd lower a car in the Philippines. no way! :)

which part are you in?
