Has anyone painted their rotors

I want to get the center piece that connects with wheels painted black to hide and protect from rust...anybody do it, is there a downside to doing this

Did this about 2 weeks ago.
Wirebrush the rotor/hub part really good, wash it off with paint thinner, apply 1-2 coats of Tremclad or Rustoleum ( Rustpaint ).
Let it dry for 1/2 day before you put the wheels back on.
P.S. I used flat-black on mine. ;)

I painted mine with some engine enamel, cast iron in color. I must say its worth the effort and time spent.

No its more of a Cast Iron color. I choose that color because I wanted it to look more original.

Those definatly look better painted
