Ok, i am confused. My foglights are the inside lights, next the the grill on each side.

Also, the only thing yellow in the pics are the turn signal/parking lights.

I guess your headlight setup is different. The things lit up in those pics are where my headlight is.http://mbca.cartama.net/attachment.php?postid=13088

Lowbeam bulb on my car, as I said they are as bright, as my healights, but the aim is lower and the pattern is spread wide, if you looked at the pic of the lights at night against a gate you can see the yellow color, It seems the darker it is outside the more yellow the lights, The bulbs themselves have a blue spot on each and a very pale yellow color. There standard 55W 12V H1 bulbs.

What part lights up when you turn your headlights on?

My car uses H4 as the headlight low/high. In the big main section. And the inside parts against the grill are H3 bulbs, they are the fog lights.

Just the headlight, to activate the fog lights you turn on the parking lights, pull out the knob one click and the front fogs come on, pull out a second click and the rear fog comes on plus a orange like on the headlight knob lites up when the rear fogs are on. the rear fog is located on the drivers side it is a double filament bulb one for the parking light and the other for the fog. Strangely Mercedes uses the same bulb for the passenger side rear parking like, but you put it in the opposite way (turning the bulb in the socket) so the second filament for the fog doesn't light at all. My 99 C280 uses H7 for lows and H1's for high and Fog, the highbeam is a separate bulb holder next to the low and fog lite holder, also there is a space for city lights next to the fog lights I ordered a set from Germany last Friday and hope to have them in a couple of weeks, these are small white bulbs they use in Europe around the city so people can see your car better. I am still trying to find the headlight rely as I have a DRL relay and it is a straight replacement for the stock headlight relay. But so far I have had no luck, someone sent you the schematics for the car but I couldn't open them.

98 or 99 thru 2000 they Mercedes used the H7 & H1 setup on the W202 C Class. Go to this address http://www.mbca.org/ click on benefits across the top, a drop down menu will appear click on forums, once you get there click on Technical Help, look for my real name A Lueb, I have four post going back 3 days of the pics of the Yellow Fogs. For my headlights I use Sylvanis Silver Stars both in H7 and H1 for high beams, I just replaced the H7 as the original set of Silver Stars only lasted about 5 months and they ain't cheap, so I am going to see how long these last.

i just installed some 70watt nokya bulbs into my low beams...theyre VERY YELLOW...lexus foglight yellow status!! i have also tried the MTEC(100w) which arent very yellow, and have the bluish tint to them, and i also tried Eurodezigns(55w which were much more yellow than the MTECs but they too had the bluish tint..Eurodesigns come with a lifetime warranty. the Nokya ones i have in now are yellow with no blue tint at all and have a 60 day warranty..ive been looking for this bulb for a very long time!!!

Also how do you get away with low beams that are yellow, as far as I know they aren't legal for low beam in the United States that is. Got any recommendation of bright H7 bulbs are there any 70 W 12 V around, I've seen H7 70 W 24 V which would probably fry my wiring, but haven't come up with 12w yet.

Thanks

I had PIAA ION yellow bulbs for the low beams in one of my cars. I got pulled over for them. I took them out b/c I could not see very well with them.

I'm not too worried about tickets so if they would have improved visibility I would have kept them. I think i'm going to put the hella yellow bulbs in the fogs and the 100% optilux in the headlights. I don't like the white headlight bulbs in the rain so I think the yellow fogs will help with that.

in the rain, they seem to cut down on the reflections of the headlights
