What type of job is it to remove the instrument cluster, I found out the DRL relay is behind the cluster. I dropped the panel under the dash and could not see anything, and with my back I sure can't get under there. Can you push out the cluster from behind or do you need a special tool? Also, it looks like the steering wheel will be in the way. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks and :) but tired

It is my understanding, with the special tool ( 2 hooks ), you can hook the cluster from the front and carefully wiggle it out.
When you get it out far enough, for the last little bit, you can pull the cluster " into " the steering wheel, and then turn both of them to the right to remove.
Don't forget to unplug the wires, once you can reach behind the cluster. ;)

Be very careful when you start to ease the pod forwards, its VERY easy to break the pod especialy the front screen, I have some pics of how to do it but not worked out how to post them on here yetIts quite easy, but you need to take your time. OR go out and spend loadsa cash buyin a new one

pod, but I am hesitating as I now have 3 different locations for the DRL relay, one behind the pod, one under the dash near the steering wheel and the other in the CPU aka old under hood battery box, so I am going to search the last two areas first before in pull the pod, with my luck I will the break the thing and then I will be very upset. I've save both Merc600sec and manny's post to wordpad for reference, thank both of you.
