No idea how much it was but mine was replaced
under warranty. The dealership kept the car for 4 days
and provided me with another car.

Also include a new receiver/dryer in your estimate. I had the compressor done at the dealer and they said they always replace the receiver/dryer. The very next week I paid an independent shop to replace the compressor in my 190e.....$1300 later I have cold air.

I change the compressor on an independent shop last week. I purchase all the part via the internet. This is the aproximate break down.
Compressor = 300
Check Valve= 70
Drier = 125
Labor = 165
They took a day to replace and sflush the sistem.

paid the equivalent of $1,300 for mine... it took about a month (because we had to order the parts from Hong Kong)
