Brake problem

Hello everyone,

Im having a problem with my brakes. Everytime I brake for a stoplight or brake in general my brakes make an irritating as well as embarassing loud squeaking sound. Does anyone know the cause of this.

While Im at it, there is also a loud humming sound coming from the engine. How do I fix this?

brake noise is either pads and discs or lack of anti-squeal paste on the back of the pads.
what other info can you supply about the engine noise?..when does it happen, what does it sound like, where on the engine is it coming from?

About the engine, right when I start it, it makes like a low but noticeable humming sound, and the car seems to vibrate a little. And if it helps its a 94 c220.
