now the three connectors to the right look the same as my stock ones ? and the antenna will connect.

if my understanding is correct the fiber optic cable goes to the cd changer in the trunk why would i need this when the cd chager is in the dash ?

Because sometimes having tons of cds in the front passenger seats makes ppl wish they had a mulit changer in the back.

well your right on that.. yes the fiber optics is for the cd changer that would be in your trunk. but if you are just going with the in dash you dont need to run any fiber optics.. also the fiber optics is for a phone if yo had one in your car, bose amp, cd changer.. the "d2b ring" as its called is how the audio system in all the newer cars is run.. except the new E-class which uses "the most" system.. also fiber optics, but newer version.

my car has the the potential for a phone but i never see my self installing one, although i do have the bose system in my car will this still work with out the fiber optics because if it will this is sweet and i will be buying a new Audio 10 unit asap.

The deck will work regardless of the cable or not. If you re read slammed post he is describing what the cable does for newer cars.

For your car you simply just buy the deck and plug it in and start listing to cd's from the indash player.

Then after so many hours of swaping disc out you'll find yourself wanting to buy a CD changer

:p

You mean the head unit itself? NO.
If you have CD changer, maybe the changer could hold 10 cd
