Hello , I am new to this forum, bought a 99 c280 sport w202 have and 2 questions. wanted to asked the experts if 17x 8.25 , yes 8-1/4 wheel with 34 mm offset on 225/45/17 fit the front end without rubbing on the inside of the fender and or sticking out on the front fenders. second , will I be able to lower the vehicle as well and not worry of having to roll the fenders. Any input will be very much appreciated.

thanks

17 x 8.25 should be fine , might rub your front bumpers or something if you lower it though because of it sticking out a little more than usual.

thanks, do you suggest to go with 215's instead. I do plan to lower , maybe with the eibachs, minimal lowering only , dont want to mess up the OEM ride. Or will 225 on eibachs still be OK

i dont believe you can fit 215's on 8.25's but maybe other members can confrim this. but what shocks do you plan to use with the eibachs? you should do a search so you can see what other members setups are.

thanks kenzbenz.

My brother has a 190e 16v i think w124 chassis and has 215/45/17 on the same type of MB EVO wheels and the tires fit perfectly. I just would prefer beefier tires .
In so far as shocks I have the 280 sport model and believe they ride on bilsteins sports if I am not mistaken , and are still firm. If I would have to replaced them there is no other shock I would consider but bilsteins, so basically ,I will have bilstein sports and eibach springs as my set up, just really worried about the rubbing.
