Howdy,
I'll be installing an amp and sub this weekend (97 c230). I have an after market kenwood cd/mp3/wma player headunit with the vw/audi kit and antenna adaptor.

Which wire do I hook the remote up too?
1. P Cont (it's blue)
or
2. Ant. Cont (it's blue also)

I have it setup so that the antenna retracts when I play a cd.

Thanks,
Les

PS. Search comes up, but the diagrams are dead images.

Use the remote turn on amp from the head unit. Just run 1 wire from head unit to the back. The antenna remote wire might bring some static noise.

Thanks for the help. I hooked the amp remote to the P.cont wire.
It wasn't that hard to install the amp or hiding the wires.
The only hard part was removing the the back seat with a faulty socket wrench.
I hooked up an old JL 12w? sub with a 300W amp, and it was impressive. The JL box was 1.25 cubic ft and was quite large, thus restricting my access to the spare, so I bought a 10" Polk Audio Momo which came in it's own custom box. It sounds just as good, and requires only .6 cubic ft.

To anyone looking for a good thump, I recommend it.
