anyone done any diff work?? changed final drive ratio?

I was wondering if anyone has changed out their diff gears to change final drive ratio's?? I thought maybe you could pick up a bit of power with slightly higher ratio.. but would you lose out on top end?

Nooope, But it is high on my list of things to do. I want to investigate the rear diff's on BMW cause they are made by the same manufacturer. Maybe the ring and pinion will fit along with a limited slip.

How are you. I haven't been active on the boards for a =long= time.

Thought you would have had it done by MB Auto Werks by now. (Was hoping to ask you how it turned out and how you like it. :) ) They used to do only LSD conversions and now do ring & pinion change to 3.45:1 as well. Just talked to them yesterday about it.

You could get a new diff from Potomac, I am going to get the 3.67 then add LSD

Jeff, couldn't you also get the LSD MB unit from the older AMGs

Thomas, I ned to call you so mayb we can get this dne together, even though we are on different coasts.

I would really like a 3.46 or 3.67:1 for my C43 with LSD.

What have you found out about the ECU adaptation to the new gear ratio.

I've got the manual transmission so it is not an issue. There is a guy on mbklasse that had his EGS reprogrammed for the 3:67s
