Recently got my first Benz (1998 C230) and am ready for some mods.

I've been looking at Eibach's Pro-kit, which says provides a 1"-1.25" drop, but that doesn't sound like a lot to me (I measured today, and there's a 3" gap between fender and tire, which is on stock 16" rims now). Would the Sportline, which has 1.50"-2.00" drop be too much?

Eventually, I'd like to get 18x8 front/18x9 rear.

I got 18" with a pro-kit and I needed to change pads in front to get a perfect drop (might lower the rear also)

sportline would have fitted since the difference is so small between the two.

Anyways you ca fine tune with pads.

Even with #1 pads all around, I think the car is still not low enough, so I cut the springs:D I have 18" AMG wheels.

It's starting to look like I may have to go with the pro-kit and just use some different pads. I can't remember where I saw the sportline springs for the 202. Maybe they weren't really for the 202, b/c I've been looking around some more and I haven't found anybody that has them. haha

I did find a site yesterday (that I bookmarked) that had Brabus springs. Forget what the drop was, but pretty comparable.

Anybody heard of someone with Eibach sportline springs?

i have a 95 c36, i just cut one coil all around and put in #1 pads on all corners, the body now sits about half an inch above the tires, the car does not bounce at all, rides just like stock, dont waste money on springs. p.s. dont go too low if ur going to be putting people in the back seat.... oh and dont cut more then one coil, otherwise u risk bouncing around like a little honda
