Hi guys, I am about ready to change the serpentine belt, are they pretty easy to do? any tips on how to do it right would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you. :)

I just replaced my serpentine belt on my Jeep. They are fairly easy, but can be very discouraging. Just take a really good mental picture of what it looks like before taking it off. I believe your power steering pump acts as your tensioner. If it's not your power steering pump then it's your water pump pulley. Also, remember when putting the belt back on, the belt is supposed to feel pretty loose (that's what the tensioner is for). Good luck and have fun!!

I believe there is a diagram in the Owner's Manual showing how the belt should go.

Yes, lots of times they are under the hood also (on a sticker). Remember that the ribbed side of the belt goes on grooved pulley's and smooth pulley's need to have the smooth side of the belt touch it.

there is a small tube shocks that functions as the tensioner. Usually, ppl change them when they change the serpentine belt
