so i got my windows tinted..

and the shop said they couldnt do anything about the scratching and told me to go to a place where they would get an air hose n blow out dust from inside the door panels... WTF? is that the problem or is it the window seals? i opened one of my windows and the tint didnt get scratched, but the OUTSIDE did... WTF?! can someone tell me what i can do at this point since i have my windows already tinted and im scared to open any of them again until i get the problem fixed.... do i cut the outside strip or the inside strip? can i use an xacto knife to do this?

I went to get my 95 C280 tinted too... all 7 windows and i went to a couple of places... one said i needed to get that felt in between the seals so the tint doesnt scratch... they said u need to get this in all the mercedes and some acura models because the factory doesnt put them in anymore. but he was charging me 50 for each window..... so then i sent to another place they said i didnt need it.... and i got my tint there.... my tint doesnt scratch... "thank GOD".... but probably u need to get those felt seals for yours...... you could probably get it done at any tint place for around 50 a window..... alright LATER

I got my windows tinted a few months ago and did not know anything about scratching or the seal. I have noticed only minor scratching, but nothing very noticable.

However, I usually only open the windows about 1/2 way most of the time. Hope this helps!
