Hi Kswiss. How are the aftermarket HID kit that you installed performing? Major improvement in visibility? What about glare?
I believe you have an euro-spec headlight assembly same as mine and I am intersted in upgrading to HIDs but is turned off by the cost.

They work pretty good. About the glare, there's no glare for me, but as for the other driver's....i wouldn't know. They haven't high beamed me yet so i guess its not that bad. I do not have euro spec headlights either. Beam pattern could be better, but overall , its brighter and easier to see on the road.
NOW IF SOMEONE CAN HELP ME WITH THE "LIGHTS OUT " INDICATOR < THAT WOULD BE APPRECIATED!!!!

Thank you for the reply.
I have read in several posts that shunting a 1K resistor with the power lead in the headlight will turn the indicator off. Stands to reason because that is how the computer determines whether the bulb is busted or not. I think the input stage of the ballast's inverter (or whatever is inside that box) presents too large a resistance to the circuit, making the computer 'think' that the circuit is open, i.e., the bulb is busted.
I would probably try connecting one leg of said resistor to the original power feed lead and the other leg to a suitable ground. This will cause a small current to pass throught the circuit, fooling the monitoring computer into 'thinking' that the circuit is closed. If the indicator light does not go off, try different values until it does.
One sure way of determining the proper resistor is to measure the resistance of the old bulb and buying a resistor close to the measured resistance.
Hope this helps...
