Ok so i checked it out yesterday and it seems that possibly if i cut off the back side of the coin tray thingy that it would provide a suitable frame to mount the ac unit in....??? but i am unsure and would like some insight on it before cutting.... anybody??? thanks!

I didnt say you were someone with learning problems. You thought that one up on your own.

If you dont find what youre looking for the first time around try a different search string and you never know what you might find.

Using the radio removal keys pull out the hvac controlls and disconnect the two harness. Depending on what you have (telephone or coin holder above the ashtray) you will have to cut it to fit the hvac controlls.

Once you have the opening large enough put the hvac unit in your modified coin/tele controll holder and plug everything back in.

Its a great mod to do if you also have one of those 1 DIN size DVD players are are interested in having it on the main console rather than ontop of the ashtray.

Well I have a flip out screen and even though it has a 1 button tilt feature it still covers the ac control when its out so i was thinking either a.) move the screen up 1 din and put the ac in the radio din but then it might sit to hight with the screen out. or b.) move the ac down to the coin slot (it looks nice down there) but then i need to figure out somthin to plug into the open space. maybe a changer with a lil cutting or sumthin.? any ideas? how do you cut down the coin try? file it?

I had the tele interface and i used a dremel and various sandpaper to get it the size I needed.

Keep in mind if you do end up relocating your headunit to the top slot it is about .5" to shallow and you will have to modify your air ducts behind the dash to make it fit.... <--- Read destructive and no going back.

Sure looks like I didnt avoid your question. Oh and I dont make ppl look lazy they can do that just fine on their own.

Best of luck.
