What amps does a 95 c280 alternator output?..mine went south and need one..

for a w202, 85 i believe but i'd be more incline to get a high output one. Evenm cavaliers have a 115 output alt.

when I got mine replaced there where three options 85 / 100 /110 they where really expensive $750 that was the half price for a rebuilt new where about $1500

I heard the the C43s have a 145 amp output, i think they should fit also.

If you look at your alternator, it will say what hte output is.

Do a search on an online parts store and it will list it for you by each part. I know mine puts out 14 amps at 80 volts - c230 - and when it was starting to fail the old one put out a weak 10 amps at 8 volts.

ok, i learned a new thing about alternators, so im not buying a new one, instead im changing the VOLTAGE REGULATOR on the alternator. Now what i need to know is, it has two brushes that make connection, over time they just get shorter, so what i want to know is how long do they start as, cause im gonna measure mine, and see how long they are to see how much they got wasted, if anybody knows the lenght please let me knoe, i believe they SHOULD be somewhere around 7+mm......

ok, i tested my amp yesterday and the guy told me it works but only puts out 12 amps, and it should be 14+ or something like that...and i noticed the only time the atlernator will power my battery is when im flooring the car, cause only at that time does my ABS and my BATTERY light go out....
