Hey guys I have a 97 C230, and I just found out from the dealer that my Mass Air Flow Sensor went out on me. I've been doing searches on the internet and here on the forum looking for places to buy the MAFS unit for the cheapest price, but for some reason I cannot find the MAFS units in any of the MB product websites. I found what they call an "Air Mass Meter," is that the same thing as the Mass Air Flow Sensor? Anyone have an idea how much these things should run in price and where I could get them over the internet? Thanks for the help.

I bougth mine from importec about a year ago and it was 250, but remember that this part is made by Bosch in Germany there for the price should be higher now because of the Euro to Dollar exchange .

I paid around $350 (installed) last winter during a "service" - Yes, I could have done it myself but my time can be valuable too.

C36 is $281 at Drivwire.com (http://mb-parts.drivewire.com/buy-mercedes-benz/c-36/air-mass-meter.html) . Maybe your C230 is cheap there.

ok I "searched"

I'm so effing mad right now. Went in for an alignment and needed a drag link THEN my alignment. errrrr

My CEL is one due to the MAS.
Are the MAS's on eBay NOT made by Bosch ok?
They are about $175 shipped vs. $275 shipped from autohaus AZ. Keep in mind, the Bossh doesn't seem the be all that great. The eBay one ALSO has a ONE YEAR warrantly.

Please help me!!!!
Thanks

Don't do anything and change your air filter often. Also, don't use air filters with oil on them. If you do, make sure they are not excessively oiled down.
