I would love a dual intake for my 1998 C280. The SL55 setup looks so cool, is there something we can do for our V6s? Our engines are the same size as the 3.2 I believe, we just need room inside the engine bay.

Of course cost is a factor, since we won't benefit as much as a C32. What about the C43 intake setup in a C280 ?

2 HP gain + the look would be worth a few hundred (who knows with two K+N filters we might see a larger gain). Plus this would give us a good reason to wrap our intake(s) in some thermal protection.

I dont think it will work because those engines are set up different and maybe hard to modify.

Not worth the 2 hp. Just my 2 cents.

What about another design...like the C43's intake. It would look cool and provide more cool air.

Also, we need 3 more people to do a group buy on EVOsport underdrive pulleys.

These pulleys will provide about 10 hp on our engines for around $310 bucks (plus shipping). That's cheap power in mercedes land. You must have a V6 or V8 engine.

Read my other post on the subject for more info or go here:

just in time... i'm in... I'll call Mike tomorrow to order... hopefully he won't object to adding one more to the groupbuy, right?

I'll most likely order the powerchip too... just gotta find a place that'll do it for me. Thanks for the hookup C280sportster!

Hey, no problem man!

I think with the powerchip you mail away your existing chip, but I could be wrong.

Maybe we can group but the powerchip, but I want to see some dynos first.
