w202 with E-class front conversion ( new member)

Whats up guys?
Iam a new member here, living in Barbados.
Iam planning on buying a 1996 c220...

It comes lowered 1.5" on 17" wheels and best of all.. it has an AMG front conversion sold in Germany .. The conversion is made of kevlar and the front of the car carries the round headlights..I'll try and post some pics to show you all..


Has anyone ever seen this conversion any where else?

I have a pic of the conversion at home. No host though. Saw it on sale in New York. Full conversion kit all OEM MB parts. It was $9,999 If i remember correctly.

i tried to find the post but i gotta get to wrk awile back there was a clclass with the e front end conversion for sale and someone posted the link somewhere...i believe it was fo sale in socal... i dunno, from what i rmemeber i did not like the look at all...*shrug* just imo......

I agree. I would like to see a full body shot to get a better idea. As you can see, the W210 front end is too round for the boxiness of the W202. It doesnt look that bad, but definitely a change in styling concept.

edit: maybe some bling bling mirrors and a rounded spoiler would help. ;)

I have seen that in real life UPCLOSE several times...wanna waste a perfect good car - go that route...It really does not look good upclose at all!

If you haven't bought that car yet, wetdragon, you might want to/ought to/should consider buying a different car instead...

i've seen one of these conversions at the LA auto show years ago if i remember correctly. doesn't look bad but it doesnt look all that great either. looks kinda cheesy imo. reminds me of those civics who put IS300 headlights and W203 rear lights. the last thing you want your car to be is a poser :silly:

EDIT: did you guys check out the W203 conversions for the W202 on that site? haha it looks so weird.

I really don't know about that. I think its looks kinda lame, I love how the 202s look in the front, and 210s look good, but on that body only... I wouldnt get it =T

after looking at it again, i dont like it. 202 front ends look better because it is more boxy than 210.

P.S c280 jr.. my mech works on the engine.. i dont know what kind you have if u put on a bodykit and he's lost on your car.. ( mybe thats why yours is as it is)

I have seen many of these done, old style SL into current model etc aswell.

These look awful, and you would never be able to re-sell the car

wet dragon in my opinion if u like it u should get it, its in the pics when someone sees it driving past no one will even see it long enough to take it in and trust me i know they will think wtf was that i do it all the time when i see a merc trying to figure out which one it is and when i saw the old e-class with the new e-class front on there i was screwing too lol so if u wana get it just get it......just have pride in ur car whichever one it is thats the key to a badass car

someone posted a picture long time ago, not sure if it was here or on bnzsport, but it was a picture of a black e-class i believe it was a w124 with c class tails parked at a enclosed parking looked good

pretty much what i was thinking, why convert the w202 to a w210....the w202 is a beutifull car as it iss, however if you really insist on a w210 then sell the 202..save some money and buy an older 210

my parents own a 210 estate and I park next to it every day. Going outside to my car, i wonder how benz could've made a car as classic looking as the 202 and as bumpy and awkward looking as the 210. the whole porsche-style bugeye lamps don't do it for me. I didn't like the SL conversion, but i like this one even less.
