I painted mine red. Red just looks more sporty than other colors on calipers.

I was supposed to have had my calipers painted when I
just did my drop and wheels last week but the brakes are
going to need some work in the near future so my guy
told me he'd do it when we had them apart. I also thought
hard about what color to paint them and I decided to do
the red. They aren't done yet like I mentioned but I think the
red will really jump out at you. AMG lately has been painting
the calipers silver but like white it will take alot of upkeep.
I found a kit for painting calipers called Foliatec ($25), it was
highly recommended from my parts guy. Note: when using
this kit, it's best to have the car up on a lift, have all calipers
clean and ready to go and then start painting as this stuff
will set up quick and won't give you alot of time to pull each
wheel at a time. Hope this helps.

I just masked off the area and painted it when on the car. I had it for about 3 months now. No chipping or fading looks great. And I let it dry overnight for best results.

I'd do a red too if my car was white.

my opinion, calipers are like valve covers, they should be red.
i have used red VHT and plastikote brake caliper paint. the VHT is a brighter red but the plastikote lays down thicker. i have had the VHT on my 80 quattro for 2 winters now and they are still red. i used plastikote on my 280 2 or 3 months ago, looks damn good. painting is easy, a wire brush and light sand paper cleans fine. just make sure all the brake dust is off the calipers. let dry for like 1 hour and good to go.
