Star Grill & Flat Hood Emblem

I'm considering replacing my stock C220 grill and star hood emblem with a couple products from formymercedes.com.

There is a grill (Elegance Grill Insert #202-3014) and flat hood emblem (Hood Emblem #612-2010) that look great!

Anyone have experience with these products and this website?

What is the procedure to remove the hood emblem? (The grill removal seems straight forward, the emblem is not obvious.)

i was thinking of doing the flat emblem and the grill with the mercedes emblem carbon fiber inserts

From what I hear formymercedes.com is a great website to buy from. A new grill and flatbadge really makes the car look different. I just made my own flatbadge from old parts and removing the star is easy. Look under the hood and where the grill star is twist the sleve that is around the assembly and it should come right out.

hmmm..... for some reason i'm still not sure about the grill with the emblem in the center....may just have to buy one and see..

By the way, what body kit do you have? Is that stock on the C43?

sure is a stock c43 body kit...I bought both items on ebay...the flat emblem is actually the "affalterbach" AMG emblem, and the grill I am painting black tomorrow to color-match the car.

Damn, is that your ride? See, now that grill (little diff) looks really good. Might just be cause it's black though, not sure. It is diffrent than most of those grills. It has thick grill lines...
