hi there guys i just bought the paint kit for the calipers so i can paint them red but i was wondering my motors color is comming off. do you think if i paint it with the caliper paint that some thing might happen to the motor or it has a chances of catching on fire???:( :( :(

Explain a bit further. Paint on your motor is coming off? Where on
the motor is it? What color paint is coming off the motor?
Is it factory paint as far as you know?
The caliper paint should be heat resistant and should work
on certain parts of the motor as far as I know.

its the factory paint. from silver it became kike a yellow. its right on top of the motor. its the metal part. its were you open to poor the oil in the motor its right there. i dont know if this is enough info on were the paint is comming off? but the paint says it can stand up to 500 degrees!:(

it should work fine. but i wopuld radther buy the 1200 degree paint to be safe

i bought engine paint from auto zone, it was pretty inexpensive and works well, we painted my friends mr2 valve cover and intercooler pipes w/it and hes not havin n e problems.
