There is one I think in the gallery that have that feature.

Is it like the maybach roof? You press a button and it shades?

can it be installed on a north american C class?

yes it can be done on your 202. For the auto shade, it'll be in the ballpark of $800 and you'll need to make a cut out and run the wires for a shade button.

Here are the parts you will need.

202 810 00 20 < The blind itself

202 690 02 49 < Rear panel with the cut out for the blind

202 540 72 34 < Cable harness post 97

210 820 27 10 < Switch

202 650 91 36 < Center panel with hole cut for the switch

The price is roughly what renn stated. Just show up to your dealer and order the parts. Installation is very straight forward and should pose any problems.

rocky:

you can. actually the harness are all about the same. like you could use a 210 harness if you want... the switch is a 210 part anyways.

Im still kicking the idea around. I already have the switch on my console already just nothing connected to it :p

Maybe in a month or two ill order up the parts and in 202 fashion will have a diy on it as well.

I'm not sure if I'm reading you correctly, but the rear windscreen does not dim (like the auto-dimming rear view mirrors).

The shade is a perforated sunshade that tucks away into the housing when not in use, then deploys mechanically at the push of a button. Sorry as I don't have pics of mine, but I hope my explanation helps.

Oh, no I get it!

I tought it was like the maybach. Press of a button and it becomes "tinted".

Thanks for the info.

The 210 sunshade wire harness only costs about 50 euro...whereas the 202 wire harness costs twice as much...get a 210 wire harness and change the connector at the fusebox...
