my friend has a 2000 a4 quatro manual with apr chip, short shifter, and remus muffler, id say its pritty fast to beat daily driver, but i doubt it would still be able to mach the c36..if it had a ko3,4 mabye then hed have some chances

C36 never came with a manual, so a lot of people who track their C36 are put off by that aspect.

The A4 might be the favorable car (more control, more fun) if it is manual...despite the power handicap.

Just another way to look at it :)

Also, there's a lot of options for the 1.8T. It doesn't have to stay 230hp for long :D

Are you choosing a car to drive on the track, or comparing your car to the competition?

I just bought a 2000 A4 2.8L Quattro last weekend. Obviously, I did the header back, and intake. The stick shift is surely fun. :)

So how does it compare CKlasse? I am just seeing a lot around here being modded. We frequently have wet pavement(Oregon rains) so the quattro is a bit of an advantage there. kameraguy is right there sure are a ton of mods for those cars. I wish the C36 had more mods available :( I love my car but I got the mod bug....

the 2.8 is VERY smooth.

nothing compared to the 1.8T, which is not enough powefull in stock form.
