Marc nice rims but i dont like the fact that the tires arent square to the rims.If he drives the car hard he will definitely have problems with handling,

Devinitly no probs by hard drives with the handling. The tires are proved by Nürburgring Nordschleife in germany . We drove there a few times a year an the results are good enough to know that it was a hard ride !Also the german AMG Owners Club Chief drive the same tires and amg wheels on his C 55 , the same results and no probs with it

Marc I'm not talking about the brand of tire.I'm talking about the size of the tire.It looks too small for those rims.Like the rims are too wide for the tires so they dont sit square.

He's not talking about the brand of tire either... He's saying that he's driven his setup on some of the most demanding pavement on the planet (Nordschliefe) without problems.;)

Yeah mon, with potholes and curbs and all that other stuff we have over here, the stretch look is a risky proposition.

I used #4 pads front & rear.
I have Koni shocks to go with the Vogtland springs, so it handles quite nice... :D  :D

Damn, I use #4 in the rear and it still tucks a bit. I have h&r and bilstein. I don't like it tucking front or rear.

I have eibachs and bilsteins with #2's and my car especially in the rear tucks like hell.I hate it! I dont see how Cats can like there cars this damn low!I even hear the exhaust scrape the ground on certain driveways or dips. I'm gonna try #4 's in back and see what it looks like .If it looks funny I'll add 3's up front.

I think you'll be much happier. I had the #2 pads in the rear and moved up to #4 pads. It raised it up significantly. I'm not happy with it only because i still want a one finger gap. but go for it, i don't think you'll be dissapointed. it looks pretty flush with the top of the tire on even pavement, but can make it look like its tucking when not on level ground, know what i mean? It's all good i guess. it makes the car look meaner!

Well I have a set of #4's and #3's for the rear so I'll try them both.I want at least a 1 finger gap so I think I'll try the #3's first, what do you think?

hey cool, don't even waste your time putting on the #3 pads. I have #4 in the rear with h&R bilstein and 18in. rims. Like i said before, it still kinda tucks, but only a tiny bit, but i'm like you and would prefer a one finger gap. I think its because I have H&R springs. They are said to be lower than most springs. Anyhoo, I think you'll be content with the look w/ the #4 pads.

The tires in the picture above are Yokohama AVS ES100. I have also used Pirelli P-Zero Nero, Bridgestone S-03 and Dunlop SP Sport 9000 with no problems. The S-03 is my favorite, the ES100 my least favorite.

As MBenzNL told me when I said the same thing to him while looking @ pictures he'd taken at get togethers in Europe, "that's the way they do it over there".

I actually kept the #2 pads up front. It has about .5 inch gap. I would make it higher, but it would be higher than the back.

I'm thinking of putting #3 in the back.I do have eibachs which might sit a little higher than your H&R's. I took the #2's out of back and front and I'm using #3 f,#4 rear! Back seems a lil high for my liking.I'll probably go to # 3 in the back as well.

hey ski,

what's the drop specs for the eibach springs? Is there a significan difference in drop as compared to the H&R's?

Not to sure what the drop specs are but I can tell you that with the #2 pads and the eibach sprigsthe car was low as hell.I didnt like it,especially in the back.I think these probably sit almost not quite aslow but almost as lowas H&R's.I'll take pics today and post with my # 3,4 setup.

thanks ski! let me know how big the gap is with the eibachs and #4 springs in the rear. If it gives at least a one finger gap, i'm going to change springs.

I am also going to attempt to go 245-35-18 in the front like the w202 C55!I think the car is definitely high enuff!I'm telling you Bizzy. The eibachs with #3 f ,#4r is pretty nice.I wouldnt mind using #3 on the back just to lower it a bit!
