What is the weight of the stock C class battery that sits in the trunk?

No it is closer to 35 - 40lbs, It is a big sucker and mine is a maintanence type, have to check the fluid level once a month and usually a cell or two needs fluid. this is the 2nd battery, the original was replaced under a recall last July, but you got to check them regulary.:D

Also, I got an extended warranty on the V6 engine for 150K miles, did you folks know about that? It seems Daimler Benz didn't tell their dealers to use syn., oil only in this engine and a few had problems. Now the oil of choice is Mobil 0W 40W.

The stock battery weighs 56 lbs. That is one heavy battery.

The battery I am going to replace it with is a dry cell Odyssey battery that weighs 26 lbs. The PC925 model.

Theres 30lbs more to the total. So far my C43 has lost 150 lbs if I add the battery. I think I can lose about 225 lbs without too much difficulty.
